Emily is the Founder and President of Muthaa Community Development Foundation. She founded the organization at the age of 23, with a mission of using innovative technologies that is relevant in Africa to empower and facilitate positive change in the community, due to her passion for sustainable community development.
She holds a Diploma in Law, Nairobi, a Degree in Development Studies, Ireland and is currently pursuing an MBA from Strathmore Business School in Nairobi.
She has received numerous recognitions due to her tremendous work including being selected as an Action Partner of Oxfam International Youth Partnerships in 2007, the National Focal Point of Global Youth Coalition on HIV/ AIDS in 2007 and the National Coordinator of the Universal Access for Female Condom in Kenya among others.
Through her leadership, MCDF won three prestigious MDG Awards in the year 2013.
Her hobbies include driving, travelling, swimming and socializing.
